The Nest Collective is seeking a new trustee to join its Board.

If you can see the big picture,  imagine the future, and want to make a difference, we want to hear from you. You don’t need governance experience, just the desire to help us grow and increase our impact in the communities most in need of our support.

We are a young non-profit organisation, but one that is already making a huge impact. We are looking for highly energetic and motivated people who want to make a difference within an organisation, because within The Nest Collective, you can.

Who we are

The Nest Collective helps whānau with new pēpi who are going through tough times, by working alongside social workers, and other community partners, to supply free packs of baby essentials. We believe that all tamariki in Aotearoa deserve to have the best start in life.  https://thenestcollective.org.nz/

Who we are looking for

We are a collegial and welcoming board looking for someone who is passionate about supporting whānau and pēpi across Aotearoa. You might have been involved with us as a community partner, or as a volunteer, or you may not have heard of us before. You might have a corporate or business background, or you may have worked with community organisations or charities. You might be just starting out on your governance journey, or you might hold other trustee roles.

We are particularly keen to hear from you if you are great at seeing the bigger picture and looking ahead, especially in the areas of finance, strategic planning and management, or if you have strong Te Ao Māori knowledge.

We welcome and encourage people of diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to gender, ethnicity, age, and sexual orientation.

What we expect of our Board members

Our Board meets up to six times a year, plus any extra sub-committee or special meetings that may be needed.

There will be some work required in between meetings to progress The Nest Collective’s mission and impact.

You can live anywhere in Aotearoa, with our current board members spread out across the motu. The majority of our  meetings are held online, with one in-person meeting held per year  (expenses paid).
